Every year the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands sponsors events in Mozambique, like traditional music performances, film festivals and art exhibitions. The Embassy has a role to play in the important task of preserving and propagating the Netherlands' cultural heritage. In addition, much attention is paid to assistance in strengthening the cultural identity of Mozambique.   

Every year, the Embassy can sponsor a limited number of cultural events taking place in Mozambique.

Our sponsoring is bound to certain conditions:

* the contribution can in principle only be granted to a local (this means Mozambican)
   organisation;
* the organisation should have a good reputation;
* the project should help to strengthen the Netherlands’ international cultural profile and  
   cultural co-operation between the Netherlands and the partner country;
* the project should be of sufficient quality, both by Dutch and local cultural standards;
* the activity should not yet have started;
* all correspondence relating the application for funding must be in Portuguese or English.
